Terms of Use

Logiweave for iOS and Android

These terms are an agreement between you and AlpsData (“we”, “us”), about your use of the Logiweave app and this website. By downloading, installing or using Logiweave you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Your statutory rights are unaffected. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer-protection or other laws that cannot be excluded, such as the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the consumer laws of the EU and UK.

1. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms and to the rules of the app store you got it from (Apple App Store or Google Play). The app is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights not expressly granted.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to: copy, modify, sell, rent, lend or redistribute the app or its content; reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the source code except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction; remove notices or branding; use the app unlawfully or to infringe anyone’s rights; or use our name, logos or game names in a way that suggests we endorse you.

3. Coins, stars, hints and extra tubes

Coins, stars, achievements, backdrops and bubble styles (“earned items”) are earned by playing and exist only inside the app. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money or anything of value, and are not a form of currency or gambling. They are stored on your device, so they can be lost if you uninstall the app, reset progress, or lose your device and have no backup. We may rebalance or change earned items in updates to keep the game fair and fun.

Hints and extra tubes can optionally be bought inside the app with real money (“paid items”). The whole game can be played without them: you receive a starter supply of hints and extra tubes, earn more from daily challenges, and every puzzle can be solved with logic alone. Paid items are consumable: each one is used up when you use it. The price, including any taxes that apply to you, is shown by the App Store or Google Play before you confirm, and your payment is taken and processed by Apple or Google under their terms; we never see your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Paid items are saved only on your device. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and cannot be restored by us or by the store if you uninstall the app or lose your device; “Reset progress” does not remove them. If a purchase did not arrive, contact us at support@logiweave.space with your store receipt. If you live in the EU or UK, by buying you ask for the digital content to be delivered immediately and, as far as the law allows, accept that you lose your right of withdrawal once it has been delivered. This does not limit any rights you have that cannot be excluded by law.

We may change the content or price of paid items for future purchases; items you have already bought are not affected.

4. Ownership

The app, its games, levels, artwork, sounds, animations, text and the names Logiweave, Bubble Sort, Eclipse, Royal Weave and Dotline belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Puzzle genres themselves (such as colour-sorting, binary-balance, region-placement and path puzzles) are general ideas that anyone may build their own games on; our specific implementation, design and branding are ours.

5. Open-source software and credits

Logiweave is built with open-source software, used under its licences, which do not restrict you from using the app:

  • Flutter and the Dart core packages (BSD-3-Clause licence)
  • Flame game engine and flame_audio / audioplayers (MIT licence)
  • shared_preferences, collection and in_app_purchase (BSD-3-Clause licence)
  • firebase_core, firebase_crashlytics and firebase_performance with Google’s Firebase SDKs (Apache-2.0 licence), used for optional crash and performance reports (see the privacy policy)
  • Fredoka typeface by the Fredoka Project Authors (SIL Open Font License 1.1; licence text)

The sound effects are generated by us. A full list of the open-source packages the app uses, with their licences, is available on request at support@logiweave.space.

6. Updates, availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the app or any feature at any time, including to fix problems, improve the game or comply with the law. Some updates may be needed for the app to keep working. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, except for those warranties that the law does not allow us to exclude. We do not promise that the app will meet every expectation or that every device will run it perfectly.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of progress, earned or paid items, data, profit or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which is zero for a free app. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Ending these terms

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms. On ending, you must stop using the app and delete it; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will do so.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, but if you are a consumer living elsewhere you keep the mandatory consumer protections and the right to go to court in the country where you live. Please contact us first at support@logiweave.space: most problems can be sorted out quickly and informally.

11. For users of the Apple App Store

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store these additional terms apply, and you acknowledge that:

  1. These terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
  2. Your licence is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple’s App Store Terms of Service.
  3. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Support is available from us at support@logiweave.space.
  4. If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, which will refund the purchase price (if any); otherwise Apple has no warranty obligation for the app. Any other claims, losses or costs due to non-conformity are our responsibility.
  5. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product-liability, legal-compliance and consumer-protection claims, and for any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual-property rights.
  6. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated a “terrorist supporting” country, and are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  7. You must comply with applicable third-party terms (for example your wireless service agreement) when using the app.
  8. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you.

12. For users of Google Play

If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not responsible for the app, its support or any claim about it; those are our responsibility.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when we add features. We will post the new version here with an updated date, and where a change is significant we will say so in the app’s release notes. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms; if you do not, please stop using the app.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. In short: the app collects no personal information.
